We had about 20 people show up to get Linux installed, and a bunch more
to help out and/or watch.
The enitre room...
was...
full...
of happy folk!
Jeff Newmiller (center) and Pete Salzman (blue T-shirt) shared their
Linux experience.
Rick Moen and his wife Deirdre came up from San Jose
to watch and help!
(Rick, who runs the Bay Area Linux Events (BALE) website said
our's was about the best Installfest he'd ever seen! Thanks to
UC Davis and the UCD CS Club for the impressively-large room!)
John Marcotte, editor of California Computer News was there
doing a story on LUGOD for Comstock's Business Journal!
Edwin Groot brought his 486/66 PC to have Linux installed on his 233MB
drive! (Rick Moen helped him get his proprietary Mitsumi CDROM drive
recognized so he could get Debian installed.)
