LUGOD and SacLUG shared space at the "Writers in the Workplace" conference held by the Sacramento Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.
Brian Lavender and Mike Machado of SacLUG came and brought a laptop running Debian with CrossOver Office, copies of Knoppix to give away, and two boxed copies of RedHat and a 'SacLUG boxed set' of Linux discs to give STC for door prizes. Mike Simons and Bill Kendrick of LUGOD brought LUGOD's demo computer running Debian with OpenOffice and Abiword. Paul Miller from RoseLUG came as a representative of OpenOffice.org. Rick O'Shaughnessy and Pete Salzman of LUGOD made GNUWinII CDs for us to give out. SacLUG member Al Canton, from Adams-Blake Company, donated a box full of his book The Silver Pen.
