Some product info. from past conferences, on our 'Free Stuff' table.

Conference material...

Lots of EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation) material, left over from their exhibit at LinuxWorld Expo (they shared our booth space). Notice the collection of LNXBBC rescue discs!

Lots of random CDROMs to give away...

More fun free stuff, including tons of Free Software Foundation stickers and buttons.

Magazines on the 'Free Stuff' table.

Tons of catalogs!

Mike Simons brought in a box full of Oracle swag that he picked up during Picn*x12 (which was sponsored by Oracle Technology Network (OTN)). We immediately decided this was best used for a raffle!

Kevin Murakoshi collected a ton of swag at LinuxWorld Expo, and gave it to us to give out. Again, some cool stuff which we raffled.

Mike Simons and Daphne Pareas model Ximian plush monkeys.

More monkey!

Mike doesn't look very amused.

The Ximian monkeys make great puppets.

Before the Affero presentation, Mike ran the raffle. Since we had so much stuff (and only about 20 people in the audience), we rationed the give-aways.

The aforementioned audience.

More audience.

Mike showing off an Oracle 'penguin crossing' window display.

Mike showing off an old "LINUX" license plate, from the Compaq days!

Chris winning the raffle!

Marc Hasbrouck won, too!

Marc chose a copy of SuSE Linux.

Another winner!

He decides on the license plate.

Chris decides to see if the license plate will fit on his laptop. Sadly, it's a little too big.

Finally, Chris Reed from Affero, Inc. gets to begin his presentation.

More of Chris Reed.

The Affero.com web site.

Part of the Affero 'Quick Tour.' An example e-mail with an Affero link in the signature.

During LinuxWorld Expo, Chris from Affero created a page for LUGOD, making us a potential beneficiary of authors! Notice the insane photo...

Which totally embarrased Ryan Castelluci.

Authors can set up pages which share donations amongst various beneficiaries.

More Chris Reed.

Leigh Jin from San Francisco State University was there, and recording the talk for her research on Open Source.

Chris answering some questions.

We discovered that we COULD use the Library's Internet access at our meetings!

Affero has created a plugin for PHPBB (an Open Source web-based forum product used by many websites) which attaches "Affero" links to messages.

Click the little "(o)" on the bottom of a page at the Affero website to see the source-code to the entire Affero software!

After the meeting, we headed to the Crepe Bistro, in downtown Davis.

We sat outside, since there were so many people, and the weather was so nice.
