Linux Microcontrollers

Davis Library

Photos by Bill Kendrick, Jeff Nonken and Henry House

Adam Yergovich (our guest speaker), Ryan Castellucci (sys), Henry House (root & /dev/null) and Nick Schmalenberger (typescript), at the beginning of the meeting.

A shot of the crowd during introductions. (Eventually, about 30 people showed up)

More of the crowd.

Bill Kendrick showing off a calendar of artwork made by children using his Open Source "Tux Paint" program.

A pair of ARM-based Linux microcontrollers from JK Micro. One is connected to a PC via serial port, to AC power, and to a breadboard with dip switches an LEDs. The other is connected to AA batteries. Both can talk to each other over 802.11b, thanks to USB wireless cards.

Another shot of JK Micro's Linux microcontrollers. (They are less than 4"x4" in size.)

A photo of the microcontroller given away during the raffle.

A birthday cake for LUGOD, created by Eric Engelhard's wife, who runs Vevey Confections in Davis.
